About me

I am an editorial illustrator living in the Netherlands. Through my study Graphic Design at the Sint Lucas in Boxtel,and then having studied Illustration at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, I have developed my own visual language that is both graphic and illustrative.

During my four years of illustration education I’ve specialized in the field of editorial illustrations. I have a broad interest in editorial work. Interpreting given articles in my own way and the short deadlines of my assignments speak to me very much when making my editorial illustrations. I work mostly for newspapers and magazines, among others het Parool, an Amsterdam newspaper in which I mostly illustrate opinionated articles. I respond adequately to the latest news, which I transform into striking illustrations.

I have great pleasure in imagining my opinion on a catchy, direct and humorous way. I make editorial illustrations to challenge people to look at themselves and the world in a critical and humorous way.
